# ApeScan

> ApeScan is a block explorer and open API for ApeChain (chain ID 33139). It shows blocks, transactions, addresses, ERC-20 tokens, NFT collections and NFT items from its own index of the chain, with an Etherscan-compatible API and a typed REST API.

This deployment serves ApeChain, the ApeCoin-native Arbitrum Orbit chain (chain ID 33139). Native currency: APE (18 decimals). It settles to Arbitrum One (chain ID 42161), which settles to Ethereum.

- No API key is needed for reads. Amounts, token IDs and balances are exact decimal strings; never parse them as floating-point numbers.
